TSLA WORKSHOP SERIES

Publishing YOUR Family
and Local History

This workshop will detail the steps you need to know to get your family or local history book printed and published at the lowest cost.

Topics covered in the workshop are:  printing processes, content preparation, using photographs and illustrations, editing, design, obtaining printing quotes, pricing, copyright, marketing and promotion, shipping, discounts, and the potential pitfalls to be avoided.

TSLA staff member Jay Richiuso will present the workshop. Jay has been involved in publishing for almost twenty years.  He has served as editor of publications for the Staten Island Museum, 1988-1992; as director of Publications for AASLH, 1992-1994, and as publisher of his own publishing company Land Yacht Press, from 1995-2002.
