DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR A WHOLESALERS LICENSE
1. Application – AB 0023 – (Completed, signed, notarized)
2. Questionnaire – AB 0009 – These forms are to be filled out by owners, managers and/or officers.
3. Approval by the local government for the location in the city of jurisdiction.
4. A copy of the Lease or other document regarding the property of the proposed location. A Deed that has been registered with the Registrar of Deed’s Office of the local municipality.
5. A copy of the application or other documents for the Wholesaler’s Basic Permit (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms).
6. A copy of ALL financial assistance received by the applicant(s), if any.
7. Payment of the $3,000.00 license fee. There is a non-refundable application fee of $300.00.
8. A copy of the Tennessee Sales Tax Number.
The first thing the applicant needs to do is contact the Federal Government Bureau of Tobacco and Firearms, Compliance Section, and tell them they need an application packet for a Federal Basic Permit and when they receive the application and send it back to the Federal Government and the Federal Government issues them a permit, then they can apply with this office. Note: Anyone with a direct or indirect interest in the business who has been convicted of any laws governing the regulation of alcoholic beverages in the ten (10) years preceding the application cannot hold a Wholesale license.
If anyone has an interest, directly or indirectly, in the ownership of a wholesale license, then they may not have any interest in a retail or liquor-by-the-drink license.
If this is a Corporation or LLC, submit the following:
1. Corporate Charter
2. List of Shareholders and percentage of stock owned by each individual.
3. Copies of Minutes
If this is a Partnership, submit the following:
1. A copy of the Partnership Agreement.

TO RENEW YOUR WHOLESALE LIQUOR LICENSE
1. Complete application. Form AB 0023
2. Your Tennessee Sales Tax must be paid current.
3. Send a check or money order for $3,000. to TABC, Nashville office.
4. License expires on December 31 of each calendar year.
