Veterinarian Cattle Handling Equipment & Facilities Cost Share Program

This cost share opportunity is designed to support to Tennessee’s large animal veterinarians by providing funds for equipment purchases to improve the efficiency and profitability of their practice.

Premises Registration
Current Tennessee License
Active Private Practice
Office location in Tennessee
Equipment must be located in Tennessee
$5,000 Max
Application must be Pre-Approved prior to equipment purchase in order to qualify for the program

EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES GUIDELINES
Applicants can only receive one Veterinarian Cattle Handling cost share reimbursement per year.

Application Period: June 2 - August 1, 2008
Reimbursement Deadline: May 1, 2009

  2. Mobile Veterinary Full Body Units
  3. Head Gate
  4. Squeeze Chute
  5. Palpation Cage
  6. Holding Chute or Pen
  7. Working Chute
  8. Loading and Unloading Area
  9. Crowding Tub and Gate
  10. Hoof Trimming Table/Chute
  1. Animal Scales
  2. Semen Tank
  3. Equipment Foundation Concrete,
    Geo-Textile, Gravel
  4. Radio Frequency Readers
    (must be capable of reading animal identification approved by U.S. Department of Agriculture)
  5. Computer & software for reading scanners
    (must provide recording and transmittal of animal identification)
