Public Chapter 442 (“the Sunshine Law”) enacted by the 88th General Assembly requires public notice of meetings of all government bodies whose actions can affect public policy. The following notice is hereby given:
Tennessee Forestry Commission TO meet
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Forestry Commission will meet Feb. 14 at 8:30 a.m. (CST) in the Forestry Conference Room of the Bruer Building at Ellington Agricultural Center, located at 440 Hogan Road in Nashville. The agenda includes a legislative update, review of the commission’s 2005 report to the General Assembly and a report on Division of Forestry activities. The meeting is open to the public. Anyone interested in addressing the board should plan to arrive prior to the start of the meeting in order to be placed on the agenda.
The Tennessee Forestry Commission comprises seven members representing the public’s interests as it relates to forest resources in the state. The commission advises the Department of Agriculture on matters pertaining to forest resources issues and the Division of Forestry.
