Tennessee Soil and Water Conservation Commission to Meet

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Soil and Water Conservation Commission will meet Dec. 4, 2023 in Franklin, Tenn.

The meeting will begin at 12 p.m. CST at the Marriott Cool Springs Hotel located at 700 Cool Springs Blvd.

The meeting is open to the public to attend.

The agenda includes approval of the previous meeting’s minutes; reports from partner agencies, organizations, and ex-officio members; and selection of the commission chair.

A portion of the meeting will be reserved for public comment, which may be submitted either orally or in writing regarding business before the commission.

The Tennessee General Assembly created the commission in 1939 to assist in developing local soil conservation districts. Today the commission advises the Tennessee Department of Agriculture on matters of soil conservation and water quality improvement.
