Tennessee Forestry Commission to Meet

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Forestry Commission will meet Jan. 9, 2024 at the Cordell Hull Building in Nashville, Tenn.

The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. CST in the Senate Hearing Room II located at 425 5th Ave. North. The meeting is open to the public to attend.

The agenda includes approval of the previous meeting’s minutes, review of the commission annual report, review of current and proposed budgets, report on forestry job vacancies, and review of timber sales.

A portion of the meeting will be reserved for public comment, which may be submitted either orally or in writing regarding business before the commission.

The Tennessee Forestry Commission comprises seven members representing the public’s interests as they relate to forest resources in the state. The Commission advises the Tennessee Department of Agriculture on forest issues.
