Dr. Bruce McLaughlin joins pathology staff

The Kord Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory is pleased to announce that Dr. Bruce McLaughlin has joined our veterinary pathology staff.  Dr. McLaughlin is a veteran pathologist and brings a wealth of knowledge to better serve our laboratory clientele.  Most recently, he was employed as an associate editor with the American Veterinary Medical Association.  While at AVMA, his responsibilities included the processing and scientific editing of manuscripts submitted for publication in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Journal of Veterinary Research.  During his tenure at the AVMA, Bruce also served as a part-time consultant to Idexx Veterinary Services, evaluating cytological submissions to their Chicago-area laboratory.  Prior to joining AVMA, he spent many years at the Breathitt Veterinary Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and was the head of pathology services at the laboratory.  He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, in 1978.  Following a year in equine private practice, he returned to complete his Master of Veterinary Science degree in anatomic pathology in 1981, also at the Western College of Veterinary medicine.  Through the years Bruce has been active in various community services including the Boy Scouts of America and coaching youth sports, most notably high school soccer.  Please feel free to contact Bruce with any questions you may have.  We are most fortunate to add Bruce's expertise to the services the laboratory provides.

We are pleased to announce the staffing of a position in the Immunology section of our Laboratory by Ms. Tiffany Carrasquillo.

Tiffany graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a major in Biology and has worked at the Marshfield Laboratories in veterinary diagnostics.

Welcome to our new employees!
