Tennessee, along with 38 other states and the District of Columbia, entered into a settlement with Circle K Stores, Inc and Mac’s Convenience Stores, LLC in an effort to reduce youth access to tobacco. Circle K has 43 corporate stores and 9 franchises in Tennessee. The agreement requires training of retail personnel and independent compliance checks to monitor tobacco sales. Circle K and Mac’s Convenience Stores will make a total payment of $225,000 to all of the settling states.
