Single Sale Cigarettes

These retailers have agreed to abide by a number of measures designed to keep customers from purchasing single cigarettes also referred to as “loosies.” As part of the agreements, each of the tobacco sellers will instruct clerks that selling single cigarettes is against the law and instruct them to check identification for all tobacco customers. The assurances further require that they implement a test shopping program to prevent single cigarette sales from occurring in the future.
