Mr. Danzig, former Executive Director, Memphis Jewish Housing Development Corporation, has been working with the elderly since 1962 when he graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Social Work. His work experience has given him the opportunity to work with the elderly in many different settings including a hospital, nursing home, family service counseling agency, and government rent assisted housing. He has worked with elderly of all income levels. Mr. Danzig has provided direct service to elderly and their families and has supervised workers. As Executive Director of Plough Towers, he was responsible for developing services and securing funding. He has served for five years as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging. He has held leadership positions on the state, local, and national levels. Mr. Danzig resides in Memphis, Tennessee, with his wife. He has three children and six grandchildren.
