The staff of The Brownsville Senior Center will endeavor to make each senior feel his worth: To know that he is loved, and that he is always welcomed. We will strive to create an atmosphere of concern for his need of fellowship as well as his physical, spiritual and emotional needs.
We will work with the community and other agencies to obtain sources of help and information for all seniors.
As we reach out and minister to the seniors, let us also remember that with age comes much experience and wisdom. We can learn valuable lessons and benefit from the older adult as we provide opportunities for them to share some of their life’s experiences.
We, as staff, must obey First Timothy 5:1-2 “Rebuke not an elder, But entreat him as a father: and the younger men as brethren: The older women as mothers, the younger women as sisters with all purity.” Let us also remember that “Youth is a gift of nature but age is a work of art.”
