Mrs. Elizabeth Stovall values education. She graduated from the University of Tennessee Martin with a Bachelor of University Studies Degree. She currently is enrolled as a full-time student at The University of Memphis. Her goal is to achieve her Master’s Degree of Arts in Liberal Studies, with a Focus on Strategic Leadership. Ms. Stovall has two children and serves as caregiver for a daughter who was diagnosed with panic disorder. She is a widow of 23 years, after a successful marriage of 33 years. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Selmer. Ms. Stovall is community oriented. She has worked with 4-H Clubs, Brownie and Girl Scout organizations, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTO), as well as being a charter member and past officer of her local Home Demonstration Club. Ms. Stovall serves as an at-large, non-voting member of the Selmer Senior Center and the McNairy County Senior Center Board of Directors. She is a retired Special Education teacher. Mrs. Stovall is an active member of the Southwest Area Agency on Aging and Disability Advisory Council, appointed by the McNairy County Mayor. She currently is serving as a volunteer for the Medicare Patrol Project. Ms. Stovall is a firm believer that every citizen should exercise her or her right to vote. She believes that it is our responsibility to know our legislators and to work with our elected officials to accomplish our goals.
