Mr. John H. Arriola

Mr. Arriola served as Tennessee State Representative for the 53rd District for 12 years, six of which he was the Assistant Majority Leader. As a member of the Tennessee General Assembly and during a time of severe budget constraints in the State of Tennessee, he led the fight for passage of legislation and eventual funding for Home and Community Based Care in Tennessee. During his tenure in the General Assembly, he was instrumental in revising Tennessee’s child care standards and in overhauling Tennessee’s welfare system. Mr. Arriola has served as Executive Assistant to U.S. Representative Bob Clement and is a past Vice President of Memorial Hospital in Nashville. Currently, Mr. Arriola is President of Country Restaurant, Inc. He has received the Jane Kennedy Excellence in Aging Award and the AARP Home and Community Based Care Award. He has served on the boards of The Lupus Foundation and Senior Citizens, Inc. and currently is on the Board of NAMI. Mr. Arriola holds a B.S. in business from the University of Tennessee at Martin and resides in Nashville with his wife, Michelle, and their two daughters.
