Mr. York is retired from BellSouth now AT&T, but currently provides consultant/training services and worked as a radio talk show host for several years. He is an experienced trainer and consultant on issues such as diversity, management, team building, and other workforce matters. He is also a volunteer for the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) providing education and assistance on healthcare issues to our seniors.
Mr. York has served on the Maury County School Board and the Tennessee School Board Association. He has been featured as a radio talk show host on community service programs, and his position as a consultant/trainer are indicative of his ability to speak well before groups. He has been involved with the Senior Center in Maury County, the Red Cross, Maury County 20/20, Maury County Mediation Center, Maury Men in Action and the Community Child Care in Franklin, TN.
Mr. York holds Class 3 radio and telephone FCC license and was a Radar Technician. He is a U.S. Navy Veteran (1964-1968) and served in Hawaii aboard the USS Nicholas DD449 as a Radarman for nearly four years. Mr. York holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Biology/Chemistry and attended Grambling State University, Grambling, Louisiana. He also completed post graduate work in Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana.
