Administrative Services Information

The Administrative Services Section provides administrative support for the Division, such as budgeting, purchasing, and personnel management. Additionally, the Section is responsible for coordinating the State’s efforts in educating the public about fire safety and prevention, as well as, collecting, analyzing, and disseminating fire loss statistics. The Section also administers the Fire and Building Safety Inspector Certification Program.

Twenty (20) types of licenses, permits and certificates of registration are generated or processed by the Permits and Licenses Unit within this Section. The purpose of this program area is to ensure that qualified applicants are properly licensed under the State’s laws and regulations. This unit processes over 7,800 professional licenses annually.
