Local planning commissions and a zoning board of appeals play a vital role in any jurisdictions
operation. Knowledge of their powers, duties, limits and abilities, as well as liabilities are critical to the
effective operation of these boards. This course covers special use, conditional use, right-of-ways and
variances. Additional topics include discussions of issues that are common to all such boards, as well as
examining what may be specific and unique to the ordinance in your local community. |
