On-Campus Program:
Campus fire service programs provide training in a broad range of subject and skill levels to meet the varied training needs of Tennessee’s fire service. General courses include condensed basic firefighting courses to an in-depth ten-week Recruit/Firefighter I course. Rescue courses include the popular Smoke Divers course along with new Rapid Intervention Team Operations training. The Academy also continues to offer essential training in fire apparatus operators. Courses specific to the Fire Officers and Administrators provide important command and operations training for the current and future leadership of Tennessee’s fire service. Additional training programs are also available through joint and co-sponsored programming with other state agencies and organization. Courses are designed and scheduled to provide the maximum access to the state’s fire and emergency services. The Academy campus provides a state-of-the–art training and educational facility. The well-equipped, comfortable classrooms, and advanced technology fire and rescue simulators are designed to support and enhance the educational opportunities provided by each class. Affordably priced on-site dorm rooms and cafeteria make attending longer duration courses more economically accessible for all fire departments. To register for on-campus fire service courses, complete the registration form following the instructions found in the TFACA catalog or on the website. You may also register on-line by clicking here.
