Billy Trout
Billy is the manager of internal and external education, correspondence, and local government support for the Tennessee Department of Revenue’s Taxpayer Services Division.
He received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. Prior to joining Revenue in 2003, Billy served as the area director for the U.S. Treasury’s Savings Bond Marketing Office and was responsible for promoting U.S. Treasury securities throughout the state. He also spent 12 years in management and technical tax law positions with the Internal Revenue Service in Nashville.
