The Charles Bass Correctional Complex (CBCX) is a multi-missioned, time-building facility for male felons committed to the Department of Correction.
CBCX houses approximately 750 inmates in 16 housing units. The institution houses the department's sex offender program, an intense mental health program, a program for inmates with dual diagnosis mental health needs, a therapeutic community program and community service work crews.
The inmates at the facility provide more than 160,000 hours of community service work each year to state and local government and non-profit agencies in Nashville area.
Inmates nearing release dates are provided intense pre-release education classes (Release for Success) and inmates without diplomas are enrolled in GED preparation classes.
