ANTONIO JOHNSON BACK IN CUSTODY
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A minimum trustee TDOC inmate that walked off
from a work release site at Shoney's on Harding Place Monday morning is
back in custody.
After searching the immediate area and gathering
information on the fugitive, TDOC officials concluded that Johnson fled
to East Memphis. Tennessee Department of Correction Internal
Affairs agents, with assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of
Investigation and the Shelby County Fugitive Task Force in Memphis,
apprehended Antonio Johnson without incident at an Exxon Tiger Market in
East Memphis Tuesday morning at approximately 12:45 a.m.
Johnson is in the custody of the Shelby County jail at
this time and will soon be returned to TDOC custody to face felony
escape charges.
