ANTONIO JOHNSON BACK IN CUSTODY

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A minimum trustee TDOC inmate that walked off from a work release site at Shoney's on Harding Place Monday morning is back in custody.

After searching the immediate area and gathering information on the fugitive, TDOC officials concluded that Johnson fled to East Memphis.  Tennessee Department of Correction Internal Affairs agents, with assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Shelby County Fugitive Task Force in Memphis, apprehended Antonio Johnson without incident at an Exxon Tiger Market in East Memphis Tuesday morning at approximately 12:45 a.m.

Johnson is in the custody of the Shelby County jail at this time and will soon be returned to TDOC custody to face felony escape charges.
