NEWS MEDIA WITNESSES SELECTED

NASHVILLE, Tenn, - The Tennessee Department of Correction received a total of seven applications from the news media to witness the execution of inmate Paul Dennis Reid.  Therefore, there is no need to hold the drawing scheduled for Tuesday, September 20, 2005.

In accordance with Tennessee law, representatives from the following news media agencies have been selected to witness the execution of Paul Dennis Reid:

WKRN-TV - Chris Bundgaard
WZTV-TV - Ashley Webster
WSMV-TV - James Lewis
