NASHVILLE, Tenn, - A minimum trustee
TDOC inmate that
stole a state vehicle and drove away from a work release site three
months ago is back in custody.
David Presley turned himself into Tennessee Department
of Correction Internal Affairs special agents Thursday afternoon at
approximately 4:30 p.m. CDT. He was picked up at an undisclosed
location in Sumner County and immediately returned to Riverbend Maximum
Security Institution in Nashville.
Presley, a minimum trustee, stole a van and escaped from
his work release assignment at TEMA on the morning of Friday, July 8,

after his escape but Presley continued to elude local and state
