MICHAEL VAULTON BACK IN CUSTODY
Nashville, Tenn. -
A minimum trustee TDOC inmate that walked off from a work release
site Thursday evening is back in custody.
Tennessee Department of Correction Internal Affairs
agents, with assistance from Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents,
apprehended Michael Shane Vaulton without incident Sunday afternoon at
approximately 1 p.m. He was arrested off Gallatin Road in Madison.
He was returned to TDOC custody and is currently being
housed at Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville.
Agents do not believe Vaulton committed any crimes during his escape and
currently faces felony escape charges.
