IMPACT OF CRIME ON VICTIMS CLASS

PIKEVILLE, Tenn. - The Southeastern Tennessee State Regional Correctional Facility in Pikeville is developing a class for adult male offenders to address the impact of crime on victims.  Victims or families of victims are needed for this program.  Participants will be asked to discuss how crime has affected their lives.

"After participating in a similar class, I know that these sessions have had a real impact on the inmates in our custody," said Warden Jim Morrow.  "Our hope is that this effort will lead to lower recidivism rates in our state and help offender realize the far-reaching effects of their actions."

Victims affected by all types of crime are needed to help make a difference.
