Population projections for the Tennessee Department of
Correction show that, by 2012, there will be 5,000 additional inmates in
state custody. In order to meet that demand, the Department will
be expanding two of its facilities, one in Bledsoe County and the other
in Morgan County.

Below you will find a Fact Sheet on each expansion
project, along with a copy of the feasibility study conducted by the engineering
firm, Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon. We have also included a copy of the Department's "Strategic Plan
for Prison Population Management."
