The Tennessee Department of Correction is
dedicated to providing treatment and educational opportunities in
all of its facilities. The Division of Rehabilitative Services
meets that goal and the vision and mission of the
department. The division focuses on the seven main areas:
Rehabilitative Services is
committed to providing every offender with the opportunity to lead successful and productive
lives through cognitive changes. Once his/her sentence is served, it is
the department's goal to
empower each ex-offender with skills necessary to re-enter society as an asset to
the community. Rehabilitative Services is also committed to
providing quality programming to improve behavior within the
institution, reduce recidivism and promote public safety.
