Firefighters and EMS play a unique role in society and often come face to face with some of the most vulnerable populations. Being able to recognize when a child or family needs support can be all the difference in helping that child lead a healthy and safe life.
The training above is designed to teach you how to recognize the signs of abuse, how to make a report, and how to prevent child abuse in your communities.
The TN Child Abuse Hotline takes reports by phone at 1-877-237-0004 or, in non-emergency situations, reports can also be made online through the web tracking system at apps.tn.gov/carat. The Hotline is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
