ECD Commissioner Bill Hagerty and Tennessee Deputy Governor Claude Ramsey toured Whirlpool's new Cleveland facility as part of a grand opening celebration Tuesday, April 10. The plant is the newest, largest and most innovative premium cooking facility in the world. The $200 million project will add 130 jobs to the Whirlpool workforce.

Governor Haslam and Commissioner Hagerty announced on Friday, Dec. 16, the release of nine regional strategic plans outlining how ECD's field staff will lead new economic development efforts in their regions, support existing networks of local organizations and serve as an effective conduit between the department and regional stakeholders.
