55th Annual Governor's Conference in Nashville

 

The 55th Annual Governor’s Conference on Economic and Community Development will take an innovative look at development strategies on every level, from improving opportunities in rural communities to expanding Tennessee’s presence in the global marketplace. The theme of this year’s conference is “Mapping Our Success” and conference attendees will take away a clear road map for creating higher skilled, better paying jobs in their communities.

Andy Serwer, Fortune magazine managing editor, will be the keynote speaker for the Commissioner’s luncheon on Monday, September 15. 
Governor Phil Bredesen
will address attendees regarding the current and future state of Tennessee’s economy at the Governor’s Luncheon on Tuesday, September 16.

Session topics will cover a variety of subjects including state incentives, work force education and training, grants, foreign direct investment and trade, biofuels and other clean energy sources, water management, housing, technology, marketing and more.
