SIP GuidanceThe following is guidance regarding the information your elementary schools should submit to the Field Service Center: 1. If your elementary school has a Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) visit during the 2007-08 school year, the school may submit the school improvement plan as reviewed by the SACS visiting team. The SACS visit must occur prior to May 15, 2008. 2. If your elementary school had a SACS visit during the 2006-07 school year, your plan will be one year old and the student performance information will not be current in May 2008. Therefore, the school will submit the fully developed, complete, updated SIP. To update your plans requires that you review and analyze your most current student performance data. You will then be able to identify next steps/goals to address the challenges identified by the new data. 3. All other elementary schools, SACS accredited and not included in the above statements or non-SACS accredited, should submit a fully developed, complete, updated SIP per required deadlines. As you conduct your work, please refer to the rubrics to ensure that you are preparing a plan of the highest quality to meet the needs of your school and students. |
