Office of Curriculum and Instruction

In order to establish statewide standards as a foundation for teaching and learning, the Office of Curriculum and Instruction is charged with the responsibility of providing local school systems with leadership and technical assistance in the design, development, and implementation of instructional programs, grades K-12. C & I's mission is to serve Tennessee teachers, students, and parents through the provision of curriculum materials, relevant professional growth opportunities, and programs designed to address the needs of at-risk and academically gifted children.
