2012

Disclaimer:

The long-standing philosophy of the State Textbook Commission has been to provide local school systems with a broad range of flexibility by including all suitable books on the official list. The reviews are not intended to constitute or imply any endorsement, recommendation, or favoring by the Tennessee Department of Education of a textbook program. The review results are only meant as a guide and shall not be used for advertising or product endorsement purposes.  Rather, we hope the information provided will help educators make informed decisions about textbook adoption and use in light of the upcoming transition to new standards.

Local review committees should thoroughly examine the textbooks to make the best possible choice for their system.   Adoption choices are due by April 15, 2013.

All publishers were instructed to send to reviewers all the components of their programs bid for sale and all components to be provided on a free per teacher ratio.
