Advocacy Activities

Build support for vocational education in other sectors of the community (Chamber of Commerce; business groups; etc.).

Conduct or assist in public information efforts.

Aid in building the prestige of and developing respect for vocational education programs.

When appropriate, seek community support for vocational education projects/initiatives.

Promote coordination of vocational education programs with related programs in the community.

Communicate vocational education concerns to legislators, school board members, superintendents, community college presidents, occupational deans, trustees, and other decision makers.

Support, if appropriate and after due consideration, vocational education's legislative initiatives, including requests for adequate funding, at the local, state, and national levels.
