Purpose

The Council For Career & Technical Education is a private-sector-led citizen's advisory council.  Members are appointed by the Governor and represent business, industry, organized labor, agriculture, and education.  The primary responsibility of the Council is to advise the Governor, the Tennessee General Assembly, the State Board of Education, the State Board of Regents, and the business community on policies and initiatives that should be undertaken to strengthen and improve Career - Technical Education.
