Unsafe School Choice

Under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, each state is required to develop and implement a policy that provides any student who attends a persistently dangerous school, or any student who has been the victim of a violent crime while at school, the opportunity to attend a safe school. The Tennessee State Board of Education has passed the Unsafe School Choice Policy (USCP) to bring Tennessee into compliance with this federal requirement.
