Miss Tennessee 2009 - Stefanie Witter

Miss Tennessee BIO:

Stefanie is a senior at UT Chattanooga majoring in Communications with a minor in Sociology.

She will assist the Department of Education by speaking to elementary school students regarding the importance of building strong character and remaining drug-free.

Stefanie has spoken to thousands of school children about making wise choices using the “Think S.M.A.R.T.” program that she developed.  This program encourages students to become involved in their schools and communities through academics, athletics and music, while staying on the right track and away from drugs, alcohol and violence.  Stefanie has also been appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network for Tennessee and the official state spokesperson for all the Ronald McDonald Houses in Tennessee.

Stefanie is an honors graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School in Hamilton County.  She has been recognized as one of Hamilton County’s Outstanding Citizens.  She received the Hamilton County Dedication to Students Award along with the UT Chattanooga’s Chancellors Award for Outstanding University Representation.

If you are interested in requesting Miss Tennessee, you should do so as quickly as possible as there are limited resources available.  Please note the application process has been changed- applications should be sent to Tara Wilson via e-mail at the address noted on the bottom of the application form.

Only applications received from the districts’ Safe and Drug Free Coordinators or Character Education Coordinators will be accepted.  See the list included below.
