Reported data may change due to a number of factors, such as: districts correcting errors in demographic data; the Tennessee Department of Education (TDE) reviewing and identifying additional data errors; the application of safe harbor calculations; and schools being identified as having incomplete data.
Annually, districts and schools have the right under the federal No Child Left Behind Act, to appeal their Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) report that may impact the school's or local education agency's improvement status. They must do so within 30 days of the August release of the report.
