Office of Technology

Mission

Advocate, advance, assist, and support the appropriate use of technology to address the business functions and educational goals of the Department of Education and Tennessee's Schools by establishing a technology framework providing timely access to information and through effective management of technology resources.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, install and maintain the Department of Education's technological environment.
  • Network hardware and software
  • Application programs and data

Manage Department of Education Technology Resources

  • Provide technology infrastructure assistance to State Special Schools and Department of Education Training Centers.
  • Assist Office of Teaching and Learning with Tennessee Educational Technology Conference (TETC).
