Tennessee Believes: The 10,000 Teacher Tour

Commissioner Huffman addresses teachers in Nashville.Education Commissioner Kevin Huffman has set out to speak with teachers across the state in a yearlong project called Tennessee Believes: The 10,000 Teacher Tour.

Commissioner Huffman and the Tennessee Department of Education believe that teachers are the most crucial part of Tennessee's goal of becoming the fastest-improving state in the nation. We believe that teachers can make a difference for all students, implementing higher standards and more focused curricula to help them grow year after year.

The department is excited to continue supporting the valuable work of Tennessee teachers and to have the opportunity through the teacher tour to engage in-person with thousands of educators during the 2012-13 school year.
