Tennessee's Early Intervention System is a voluntary educational program for families with children ages birth through two years of age with disabilities or developmental delays.

June 2010 - Several things have been occurring throughout this program:
- Three TEIS Single Point of Entry (SPOE) offices moved to new locations over the last few months:
1) Southwest TEIS moved to a new location in March. (225 Highway 45 West Humboldt, TN 38343)
2) First TN TEIS moved to a new location in April. (196 Freckles Court Johnson City, TN 37601)
3) Greater Nashville TEIS moved to a new location in May. (1232 Foster Avenue Nashville, TN 37243)

TEIS recently received information regarding its submitted FFY 2008 Annual Performance Report (APR) and revised State Performance Plan (SPP) to the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). Per OSEP's analysis, Tennessee meets the requirements of Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). For federal determinations purposes, this is a grade of "A". This determination is the result of hard work and planning performed by all TEIS personnel.
