LEAD Conference

The annual LEAD Conference gives school and district leaders a chance to share and discuss effective practices happening every day in Tennessee schools. With valuable first-person examples, educators from across the state share their best ideas for preparing Tennessee's students for college and careers.

LEAD 2015

The LEAD Conference will take place Oct. 26-28 at the Music City Center in Nashville. The theme of the LEAD conference this year is making sure students are "Promise Ready". This year we will share information that can help schools maximize student success with sessions themed around the five areas of our strategic plan: early foundations, support educators, bridge to postsecondary, empower districts, and all means all.

If you have any questions about the LEAD Conference, please email LEAD.Conference@tn.gov.

Pre-Conference for School Leaders Registration

New at LEAD 2015, school leaders will have the opportunity to attend an additional, in-depth learning experience of their choice during a pre-conference session offered on Sunday, Oct. 25, from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. School leaders who participate in the pre-conference will earn five hours of TASL credit. The following sessions will be offered:

  1. Foundations of TVAAS (delivered by SAS): This session will focus on providing school leaders with a solid foundational understanding of all the primary TVAAS reports and how to leverage these reports for instructional improvements.
  2. Advanced TVAAS Discussion Advanced (delivered by SAS): This session will increase participants’ understanding of TVAAS with more technical information and build upon their ability to effectively discuss TVAAS with other school leaders and teachers within their building.
  3. Emotional Intelligence: The Other Side of the Report Card: This session focuses on the core social and emotional competencies required to create a school environment that allows students to work purposefully to use their gifts and strengths.
  4. Growing Leaders by Growing Teachers: This session will help participants leverage teacher evaluation processes to identify and develop key leadership practices across the Administrator Evaluation Rubric.

Registration for the pre-conference is $50.00. Seating is limited and on-site registration will not be available for these pre-conference sessions, so please register now through our new registration portal.

Exhibitor & Sponsor Registration

This year’s LEAD Conference will offer exhibitors and sponsors new and exciting opportunities to interact with over 2,000 of Tennessee’s district and school level administrators. Breakfast and lunch will be served in the exhibit hall, as well as afternoon snacks during the dedicated exhibit hall time. In addition to an opportunity to have exhibition space in the state-of-the-art facility, we are encouraging exhibitors to offer “classroom time” to conference attendees to better engage with and experience products offered by your team.

Also, available this year are a variety of sponsorship packages, as well as a la carte sponsor opportunities. These sponsorship opportunities give unprecedented visibility via advertising in our conference program, during special events, and on signs throughout the conference space. Finally, we hope your company will participate in the annual LEAD exhibitor prize game and giveaway. This is a free option that encourages visitation to booths, as well as a guaranteed face time with participants in the giveaway.

Please see the conference prospectus for more detailed information.

Online registration for exhibit space and sponsorships is now available.
