The following is a list of current public notices of permitting decisions, public hearings, and rule-making activities. Public comment and participation are encouraged on all of these issues. Comments on any issue are welcome at any time and may be made by sending e-mail to ask.tdec@state.tn.us.

February 21, 2008 - Public hearing to consider the proposed Fine Particulate Matter (PM2.5) State Implementation Plan (SIP) and the proposed Regional Haze SIP to protect visibility in Class I areas.

February 20, 2008 - Sekisui Plastics USA, Inc. applied to APC for a major source operating permit.

February 19, 2008 - The RTR Group, Inc. applied to APC for a major source operating permit.

February 7, 2008

January 8, 2008 - APC approved the Continuous Monitoring System Performance Evaluation Test (CMSPET) Plan for the Rotary Kiln Incinerators as submitted by Eastman Chemical Company.

December 4, 2007 - APC received requests for construction of air contaminant sources. (November 27, 28, 29)

November 21, 2007 - C-E Minerals applied to APC for the renewal of their major source operating permit.

November 20, 2007 - APC received requests for construction of air contaminant sources. (November 13, 14, 15, or 19)

November 19, 2007 - Batesville Manufacturing, Inc. applied to APC for the renewal of their major source operating permit.

November 9, 2007 - Public hearing before the Technical Secretary of the Tennessee Air Pollution Control Board to consider the proposed FY 2007–2008 Workload Analysis that supports the establishment of the Title V Fee Rates and the proposed Regional Haze state implementation plan (SIP). May 31, 2007 - Public Hearing to receive comments on the proposed Title V Significant Modification Permit draft for Johns Manville International, Inc. - Mat Plant.

May 23, 2007 - Domtar Paper Company, LLC applied to APC for renewal of a major source operating permit.

May 21, 2007 - APC received requests for construction of air contaminant sources. (May 15, 16, 17)

May 18, 2007 - APC received a request for construction of an air contaminant source from Robert Bosch LLC.

April 27, 2007 - Zinifex Clarkville, Inc significant modification to major source (Title V) operating permit.

April 10, 2007 - APC received requests for construction of air contaminant sources. (April 17, 18, 19)

April 17, 2007 - Eastman Chemical Company applied to APC for a significant modification to their major source operating permit.

April 10, 2007 - APC received requests for construction of air contaminant sources. (April 3, 4, 5)

April 4, 2007 - Public hearing scheduled for Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at the Knoxville Environmental Field Office, regarding proposed amendments to the SIP has been canceled and rescheduled for Monday, May 7, 2007.

February 8, 2007 - Kentucky-Tennessee Clay applied to APC for a major source operating permit renewal.
