Williamson County Archaeological Society

About the Society:

The purpose of the Williamson County Archaeological Society (WCAS) is to inform and provoke thought about prehistoric Indigenous cultures in our local area and the Southeast. We seek and welcome the attention of modern folks who want to learn about, care for, protect, and preserve the over 430 known ancient sites in Williamson County, Tennessee from destruction and exploitation. The Williamson County Archaeological Society usually meets every other month at the Williamson County Public Library in Franklin, TN. (1314 Columbia Ave). These meetings are FREE and open to the public. For more information about the society and future meetings, visit and like their Facebook Page.
