Voluntary Cleanup, Oversight and Assistance Program
The Division of Remediation manages a number of sites under its Superfund and Brownfields Project Voluntary Cleanup Oversight and Assistance Program. In 2003, the Division began receiving federal funding under the CERCLA 128(a) program. One requirement under this grant is the establishment and annual update of a public record of sites that identifies where response actions have been completed and identifies properties where response actions are planned.
The summary also identifies whether the site is suitable for unrestricted use. In addition, the Division of Remediation maintains a document repository in its Main Office in Nashville located at 401 Church St. on the 4th Floor of the L&C Annex as well as in the Environmental Field Office (EFO) responsible for the area in which the property is located.
