PARIS LANDING STATE PARK RESTAURANT BEGINS RENOVATIONS
RESTAURANT REMAINS OPEN TO CUSTOMERS AS IMPROVEMENTS ARE MADE

Nashville, Tenn. – Customers of Paris Landing State Park Restaurant will be glad to hear the restaurant has re-opened and will remain open in coming months while improvements to the dining room and kitchen are made in 2006.

“After 51 years of business, we felt it was important to make some improvements, but our customers can expect the same great food and service even as some work takes place around us,” said General Manager Gary McEntire. “And when completed, I think our customers will be very impressed with the outcome and enjoy the restaurant’s new features.”

Those new features will include new hot and cold buffets in the dining room, a dessert bar, and new carpet and tile. The restaurant’s semi-private dining room is being used as the primary dining area while the main dining room receives its facelift.

“It’s a short-term inconvenience for a long-term gain, but we’re committed to making it as seamless as possible for our customers,” said Restaurant Manager Donna Crockarell. “When it’s completed, we think we’ll be able to better serve our guests even better than ever.”

According to Crockarell, the restaurant served just under 134,000 guests last year. It was originally constructed in 1953-1954.

The dining room renovation is expected to be completed in early March. Phase two of the renovation project will involve construction of a new 2,300-square-foot kitchen at the front of the Inn, with a projected completion date of June 6, 2006. The final phase of the project will convert the existing kitchen into public and employee restrooms, waitress station, office space, janitorial closet, and employee break room, with all of the construction scheduled to be completed by mid-October.

Paris Landing State Park is located at 400 Lodge Road in Buchanan, Tenn.
