MEEMAN-SHELBY STATE PARK HOSTS PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT

MID-SOUTH LANDSCAPES, WILDLIFE TO BE FEATURED

Nashville, Tenn. – Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park near Memphis will host “Focus on Wildlife,” a collection of photographs taken by the Memphis Camera Club, throughout the summer. This exhibit will feature landscapes and wildlife associated with the Mid-South region.

“Focus on Wildlife” will be on display at the park from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, beginning July 18 and running through Aug. 31.  The park also will host an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. July 20. During this event, photographers will be on hand to discuss their works and Interpretative Specialist Samantha Cox will educate visitors about various wildlife species through close observation.

To reach Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park from Interstate 40, take exit 2-A. Then, turn right and proceed through six traffic lights to Watkins Road (Highway 388). Turn left; continue until the road dead-ends. Turn left. Proceed one mile to a four-way stop at Shelby Forest General Store, and turn right. Continue one mile, and turn left into the park.
