Next Race: Standing Stone State Park hosts Bigfoot Scramble 5 Mile Run on Nov. 21.
The seventh race in the State Parks Running Series is a super fast 5-miler through the secluded words of Standing Stone Forest. For more information contact Lynn Burnett with the Frostbite Running Club at (931) 823-6124.
State Park Events this Week

Frozen Head State Park hosts Volunteer Trail Day on Nov. 21. Meet at the visitor center at 9 a.m. EST. for trail maintenance and repair. Some moderate hiking may be required and we will return by 3 p.m. EST. For more information call (423) 346-3318.

Sycamore Shoals State Park hosts Thanksgiving Garrison on Nov. 21 & 22. Join us as the Washington County Militia provide a glimpse into an 18th century Thanksgiving at Fort Watauga from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. EST each day. For more information call (423) 543-5808.

Harpeth River State Park hosts Mound Bottom Tour on Nov. 22. Join us for a moderate one mile ranger led hike into Mound Bottom archaeological site. Reservations required with a 15 person limit. For more information call (615) 335-9659.

South Cumberland State Park hosts Turkey Tromp on Nov. 22. Meet at the Buggytop trailhead to learn about the life and times of our Tennessee turkey. This program involves a mile or two of moderate hiking. For more information call: (931) 924-2980.
