Project WET

Workshops to educators at all levels, formal and non-formal, on diverse water topics so that those educators can reach children with objective, experiential, science-based water education. In Tennessee, Michelle Rogers (Austin Peay State University) coordinates Project WET workshops.

Project Learning Tree (PLT)

Environmental education program designed for teachers and other educators, parents, and community leaders working with youth from preschool through grade 12. In Tennessee, Dave Walters (Tennessee Department of Agriculture, Forestry Division) coordinates PLT workshops. Online courses also available.

Project WILD

Wildlife-focused conservation education program for K-12 educators and their students. In Tennessee, Pandy English (TN Wildlife Resources Agency) coordinates Project WILD workshops.

Tennessee Environmental Education Association (TEEA)

TEEA provides resources about environmental education in Tennessee, as well as a directory of local organizations by cost, program area, and region. They assist in the development and coordination of environmental education programs and activities for public schools through support from institutions, organizations and agencies.

Lipscomb Institute for Sustainable Practices

In response to pollution, rising gas prices, and extreme weather, since 2007 the Lipscomb Institute for Sustainable Practices has trained students to add regenerative energy to their communities and the world.

Tennessee Women In Green (TWIG)

TWIG empowers, inspires and connects women who are committed to environmental sustainability. Meets monthly in Nashville.

Tennessee Naturalist Program (TNP)

TNP is an education training course designed to introduce the natural history of Tennessee to interested adults.
