In January, 2008 all tank owners in Tennessee were mailed a copy of the Division's latest tank owner assistance aid, a CD called Compliance Tool Box. Compliance Tool Box is a collection of documents and references all designed to help tank owners learn about and achieve compliance with the Tennessee Underground Storage Tank rules and regulations.

How to download a free copy of the 2008 Compliance Tool Box
(118 mb file - slow download)

*If you have a slow connection and feel this file is too large to download, we can send you a copy (as long as supplies last). Call (615) 532-0945 and ask for the 2008 Compliance Tool Box CD to be mailed to you.

CLICK ON THIS LINK to download a .zip file that contains the Compliance Tool Box. When you click the link a dialogue box will appear that asks “Do you want to open or save this file?” Click on SAVE.

Another box will open that will allow you to choose what folder to save the file in. The file is named “toolbox2008.zip”. This is a large file (118 megabytes) and may take a while to download. You should see an animation that shows the progress of the download as it happens.

Once the download is complete, go to the folder where you saved the zipped file and you will see a folder labeled “toolbox2008.zip” Double click on that folder.  The folder will open and you will see five folders labeled Adobe 2000, Adobe XP, Autoplay, autorun.exe and autorun.inf. Double click the file named autorun.exe.

You may get a message that reads “This application may depend on other compressed files in this folder. For the application to run properly, it is recommended that you first extract all files.”

Click the box labeled “extract all” and it will open the Windows Extraction Wizard. Click Next and follow the instructions. You can save the files in a folder of your choice by changing the name of the default folder if you wish.

Once the files are extracted, you should see another window open with the same five folders as before. Double click on the file named autorun.exe. When you click this, if a security warning box appears asking if you are sure you want to run this file, click “run” and the toolbox should open on your screen.

All the features of the CD should work on your computer. As you navigate the Toolbox you can always go back to the starting page by clicking “Main Menu” in the upper right hand corner.  To exit the Toolbox, click the X in the box in the upper right hand corner.

There are some links on the toolbox that will only access documents on other web sites, like the links to the UST Law and Rules, for instance. You may only view those if your computer is connected to the Internet. Otherwise you will get a message indicating that page cannot be viewed.
