At The Gas Pump" - OPW Fueling Components
The video runs about 7 ½ minutes and " contains information every gas station employee and driver should know about the hazards of refueling at the gas pump, and the safe and proper procedures to follow when fueling vehicles and containers to help prevent such hazards." The video produced by Purdue University Extension of Consumer and Family Sciences, contains surveillance camera footage showing accidents as well as staged demonstrations that depict how fires can begin during fueling operations. The video also shows proper techniques and gives valuable advice, which could save your life. OPW Fueling Components, along with the North American Nozzle Manufacturers are distributing the video. They encourage the wide circulation of the video, which can be downloaded from the OPW website at www.opw-fc.com . The video is in the lower right hand corner of the page. The video is a large file (71 megabytes at high resolution or 28 megabytes at lower resolution) and will take several minutes to download to your computer. You will also need a movie viewer that will play .mpg files such as Real Player on your computer to be able to view the movie. Copies of the video can be obtained by calling 1-800 422-2525. This is valuable safety information that all motorists should have.
